Join the musicians of 344 Musicians Flight, Australian Air Force Cadets, together with special guests from the Australian Army Cadets and Australian Navy Cadets, for Beyond the Horizon — an exciting evening of symphonic music, adventure and imagination. Journey through sweeping landscapes, legendary worlds, powerful stories and treasured memories as a talented ensemble of cadet and adult musicians brings an inspiring programme of concert band and string music to life.

Beyond the Horizon is the culmination of the October 2026 Musicians Course, bringing together cadets and staff from across New South Wales and the ACT. The musical units are made up of young musicians aged 13–18, who come together alongside experienced adult staff to learn, perform and develop their musical skills. Over the course of the programme, musicians from across the three Australian Cadet organisations work together to create a dynamic and inspiring concert experience.

From powerful and dramatic works to moments of quiet reflection and beauty, the programme explores the many ways music can create images, tell stories and stir the imagination. Beyond the Horizon celebrates not only the music itself, but the spirit of adventure and discovery that lies at the heart of the cadet experience.
